Meta: In the video that shook the world, Mark Zuckerberg was wearing a wristwatch worth almost a million dollars

Social with the CEO of the media company Meta Mark Zuckerbergilla was wearing a wristwatch worth almost 900,000 euros in a video message that shook the world.

The issue was reported by, among others, a British newspaper The Guardian.

Published on Tuesday on video Zuckerberg said Meta would drop fact-checking and reduce monitoring on its social media services Facebook, Instagram and Threads.

The decision only applies to the United States, but it has sparked discussion and concern in Europe as well. Zuckerberg said that Meta plans to cooperate with the future president of the United States Donald Trump’s with to oppose states that seek to censor US social media services.

Now the wristwatch worn by Zuckerberg, one of the richest people in the world, in the video has made headlines.

It is the Hand Made 1 model of the Swiss Greubel Forsey wristwatch manufacturer. The price of the watch before taxes is 895,000 dollars, i.e. around 868,000 euros.

Greubel Forsey says on its website that only two or three Hand Made 1 watches are produced each year. The manufacture of the watch is done almost entirely by hand and it takes 6,000 hours.

In the early days of Facebook, Zuckerberg was known for his modest clothing style, which included, for example, hoodies and sandals. In recent years, however, the head of the techno giant has been interested in luxury watches, according to The Guardian.

Zuckerberg was reported to have become the third richest person in the world on Monday. His wealth is approximately 217 billion dollars, i.e. approximately 210 billion euros.
