High-voltage Derby della Mole, but off the field. 1-1 with Torino

A draw that doesn’t hurt but that doesn’t satisfy anyone in the Mole derby between Turin and Juve: it ended 1-1, with the Bianconeri having taken the lead in the eighth minute with a shot from Yildiz from the edge after a good individual action.

In the 46th minute of the first half Vlasic’s equalizer: the Croatian stopped with his right foot from the edge and with his left foot he launched a shot into the net which went wide of the post.

Juventus bus targeted

High tension derby in Turin: before the match there was a throwing of objects upon the arrival of the Juventus bus at the Olimpico Grande Torino stadium. The bus was slightly damaged on the windshield with minor damage, the rear window of the unmarked police car escorting the Bianconeri was broken.
Always before the race 17 granata ultras were identified and reported by the Digos of the Turin Police Headquarters for possession of telescopic batons, baseball bats and chains. They wanted to attack the Juventus ultras who were arriving in procession at the stadium but who were then made to deviate from the route to avoid clashes.
The tension also spilled onto the pitch with a hint of a fight after just 42 seconds, when the Granata bench was slow to return the ball to their opponents.

Four draws in five matches for the Bianconeri

For Thiago Motta’s team it is the fourth draw in the last five games and above all the points lost by the Bianconeri after being ahead reach 12, in addition to the Super Cup semi-final lost in the semi-final against Milan. Ready to go and Juventus takes the lead, thanks to the super play of Yildiz who in the midfield gets rid of a couple of grenade players with a right-left which is followed by a low shot on which Milinkovic-Savic is not explosive and which therefore ends in net.

But it was at the end of the first half that Torino equalised, thanks to Vlasic’s left-footed move who picked up a loose ball just inside the area and sent it behind Di Gregorio after it touched the post. In the second half the intensity of the duels rises, which is also reflected in the protests which lead, in the 57th minute, to the expulsions of Vanoli and Thiago Motta, in conflict due to a dubious contact between Savona and Karamoh.

Next moment in which Juventus will push again, with a double chance in a few minutes born from the conclusions of first Yildiz and then Koopmeiners: the Turkish one is just over, the Dutchman’s one is saved by Milinkovic-Savic. The minutes ticked away and the score remained at 1-1 until the end of the match, which ended with the last gasps of the Granata, well defended by Juventus until the end of the four minutes of injury time granted by Fabbri.
