A Polish city offers Elon Musk to buy its castle to make it its European headquarters

Is Elon Musk’s European headquarters going to be in Poland? In any case, this is what Piotr Bujak, the mayor of the Polish town of Glogowek, wants, who is encouraging the billionaire to buy his 13th century castle to transform it into his European headquarters, reports Associated Press.

Piotr Bujak said on Tuesday that he had recently published his proposal on the social network X, owned by Elon Musk, and sent letters to his companies such as his No price has been announced and Musk has not yet responded to the offer.

Glogowek’s mayor told the Associated Press that he had seen reports in several media outlets suggesting the South African billionaire was looking for a sizable location in Europe, such as a castle in Italy, to be the hub of his multiple operations on the Old Continent.

“The castle has a very good atmosphere and is a perfect place for big things,” Piotr Bujak told the AP. “We don’t feel worse than in Tuscany. We have a perfect climate and it’s the best place on Earth,” he said of his region which has a long winemaking tradition.

In his letter, he highlights the fact that his region has “beautiful lavender fields, like in Tuscany, mountains that you would like to discover during beautiful hikes”. “I suggest you open your European headquarters in our magnificent Glogowek castle,” he continues before highlighting the geographical location of his city which is “less than 400 km” from the six European capitals of Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest and Warsaw.

This castle, which has sufficient space to accommodate a heliport and requires complete renovation, “will be a jewel for our city and an impressive showcase for your investments,” concludes Piotr Bujak.
