The Prime Minister celebrated Tet early with overseas Vietnamese in Poland

Very early, the large hall at the Warsaw Presidential Hotel was full when the Vietnamese community in Poland flocked here to attend the program “At Ty Homeland Spring 2025” on the evening of January 17 in the capital Warsaw.

The program was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his wife Le Thi Bich Tran, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Van Nen and leaders of ministries, branches and central agencies. Polish guests included Minister of Science and Higher Education Marcin Kulacek, two Deputy Ministers of Defense and Digitalization, leaders of the city of Warsaw, and leaders of the Polish – Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked his people for giving him “unforgettable memories of his life” when celebrating Tet early in the homeland of composer Frédéric Chopin, scientist Marie Curie, and astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. He wished the Vietnamese community in Poland a happy, peaceful, prosperous and successful new year.

The Prime Minister and his wife raised a glass to wish the community a Happy New Year, watched musical performances performed by people in Poland, and enjoyed typical Tet dishes such as pork sausage, banh chung…

The Vietnamese community in Poland has about 25,000 people. Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Poland, said that people are united, attached and preserve their national identity by always being proud to be Vietnamese.

Government leaders awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to the Vietnamese Association in Poland for positive contributions in building and developing overseas Vietnamese communities and activities towards the homeland and land. water.

Also on January 17, the Prime Minister had meetings with Speaker of the House of Representatives Szymon Holownia, Chairman of the Senate Malgorzata Kidawa-Blonska and received the Polish – Vietnamese Parliamentary Friendship Group.

During the meeting in the Senate, Ms. Kidawa-Blonska agreed with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s proposal when affirming that the Senate supports the adoption of the EU – Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA), contributing to facilitating beneficial for economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Chairman of the House of Representatives and the Prime Minister also agreed to promote cooperation in this pillar field in accordance with the good political and cultural relationship between the two countries, striving to increase trade turnover to 5 billion USD.

At the meeting at Poland’s National Institute for Cyber ​​Security Research (NASK), the Prime Minister proposed a number of specific cooperation directions with NASK such as shaking hands with Vietnam’s leading information technology corporations. in sharing experiences, technology transfer and trade cooperation. He also wants to cooperate on some focuses with Poland on digital transformation and cybersecurity.

NASK is a state research institute tasked with digitizing the Polish government. At the same time, NASK develops the Internet, ensuring the country’s security and cybersecurity through research and deployment of innovative products, Social and educational activities aimed at increasing awareness of the information society.
