Lukas Hradecky’s scoreless game crumbled in overtime

Finland national team goalkeeper Lukas Hradeckyn represented by Leverkusen celebrated a 3–1 home victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach in the German Bundesliga.

Leverkusen led Saturday’s evening game 3–0 Florian Wirtzin by two and Patrik Schickin with one goal. The last of Wirtz’s hits came from a penalty kick. Tim Kleindienst scored the visitors’ only extra time in the first minute.

Hradecky was a substitute in Leverkusen’s previous league game against Mainz, but returned between the posts in the Mönchengladbach match.

Reigning champions Leverkusen are second in the standings. At the top is Bayern Munich, whose lead over Leverkusen is four points.

Bayern took a 3-2 home win over Wolfsburg on Saturday.

The hardest Kirin of Saturday’s round was presented by Bochum. RB Leipzig already led their away match 3–0 at the break, but Bochum got level in the second half Myron Boadun by doing a hat trick.
