The Vittoriale degli Italiani, exceeded 300 thousand visitors in 2024

The Vittoriale degli Italiani, the house-museum of the poet Gabriele d’Annunzio on Lake Garda, in Gardone Riviera (Brescia), reached “the great milestone of 300 thousand visitors” for the first time in 2024. This was the historical objective that the Foundation and its president Giordano Bruno Guerri had set themselves after the centenary of the Vittoriale (in 2021, closed with only 179,047 attendances due to Covid), and which was achieved in just a few years.

“It is an achievement that we owe to those who work in and for the Vittoriale, starting from the Board of Directors, making it one of the most visited museum houses in the world and, above all, a cultural enterprise of Italian reference, excellence for the Lombardy region – declared Guerri – We will continue to be a driving force of culture and to work with enthusiasm to make the visit an increasingly extraordinary experience, offering new services, initiatives and beauties”.

“We celebrated the 300 thousandth visitor, welcoming him by surprise, showering him with gifts and giving away lifetime admission to the Vittoriale, for two people”, announced Guerri. The recipient of lifetime admission to the Vittoriale was a visitor from Trieste, Cinzia Bianchi, accompanied by her husband and daughter, who together crossed the entrance to the D’Annunzio Park at 11.41am on Saturday 28 December.

“The continuous growth of visitors is confirmation for the Vittoriale that it is on the right path, but also a result of the passion of those who work every day to welcome the public in a unique place”, added Guerri.

In fact, the Vittoriale has also obtained an important recognition from the Museum Observatory curated by BVA–Doxa: after the analysis of Italian and foreign online reviews relating to Italian museums, the Vittoriale has confirmed that it is in first place for emotions aroused in its visitors and for the preparation and courtesy of its employees: “They too will receive a prize for the objective achieved”, announces president Guerri.
