Operário beats Rio Branco and ends the round in second place

Worker took second place in the 2025 Paranaense Championship by beating Rio Branco 2 to 0. The game closed the third round on Sunday night (19), at Germano Krüger, in Ponta Grossa.

The first goal of the game was against Vinicios. Jean Lucas crossed into the area and, unfortunately, the midfielder deflected it into the goal, 10 minutes into the second half. Fantasma increased the score in the final stretch of the match with his own Jean Lucas in a shot from outside the area, in the 42nd minute.

Operário controlled the match, but had few chances in the first half. Gugu Vieira shot two out, as did Boschilia, who risked shots from outside the area. In the final stage, Fantasma was more effective and managed to transform opportunities into victory in front of their fans.

The result left Operário undefeated with two wins and a draw, with seven points won. The team just doesn’t surpass Cianorte in the league table, which has 100% and nine points. Leão da Estradinha lost all three games and is in second place, within the relegation zone.

Operário is the next opponent of Athleticowho lost to Azuriz 1-0 in the round. The duel will be on Wednesday (22), at 8 pm, at the Ligga Arena, in Curitiba. Rio Branco, in turn, hosts Andraus at Gigante do Itiberê, on the same day and time, in Paranaguá.
