The Casa de la Moneda Museum hosts the ‘Young Talents’ series with four concerts by the Reina Sofía Music School

The Reina Sofía Higher School of Music collaborates with the National Mint and Stamp Factory offering the cycle ‘Young talents’a series of four chamber music concerts in the auditorium of the Madrid Mint Museum.

The four concerts of the cycle will take place at 7:00 p.m. for four Thursdays in a row starting next January 23 and ending on February 13. Access to all of them will be free until capacity is reached.

The first concert will feature the Counterpoint Duo formed by the clarinetist Olivér Kusztós and the pianist Mariam Chitanava. The program they will perform includes works by Weber, Brahms and Bernstein.

On January 30, it will be the turn of trumpet Óscar Julián Tapie and the Fanny Hensel Trio, a trumpet group whose members are Alba García, Marc Ferrando and Francisco José Lopes. On stage they will offer a recital with works from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries by the composers Johann Friedrich Fasch, Alessandro Marcello, Vassily Brandt, Henri Tomasi, George Enescu and Arthur Honegger. All of them will be accompanied on the piano by pianist teacher Marharyta Kozlovska.

As the third act of this series, on February 6, the stage of the Casa de la Moneda Museum Auditorium will host the Victoria Trio, a new formation from the Reina Sofía School, created in 2024, which receives classes from Heime Müller, professor at the Department of String Quartets. Its members are Joaquín Hernando with the violin; Amalia Bosch, viola and Hugo Domínguez, cello. They will bring the public closer to baroque and early Classical periods with works by Bach and Beethoven.

In the last concert of the cycle ‘Young talents’, on February 13the winds will be the protagonists. The Casa de la Moneda Scarlatti Quintet will offer a concert with works by Franz Danzi, Malcolm Arnold, Jacques Ibert, Julio Medaglia and Paul Hindemith.
