NATO calls for intensifying cooperation with the European Union

Brussels – WAM, Radmila Šekerinska, Deputy Secretary-General of NATO, called for deepening the partnership between the alliance and the European Union. In a speech before the annual conference of the European Defense Agency (EDA) in Brussels, on Wednesday, Šekerinska said: “At this time of danger to our security, intensifying our cooperation is necessary,” stressing that the European Union’s defense “is of great importance to NATO because it is closely linked to closely linked to transatlantic security.” She added: “In the face of increasing strategic competition and destabilizing campaigns against our security and way of life, increasing defense investment and increasing defense production represents a priority to ensure the survival of countries.”
