Stellantis announces investments in the USA after the Trump-Elkann meeting

After the meeting in Washington between John Elkann and Donald Trump which took place the day before the inauguration of the new president, Stellantis relaunches its presence in the United States and announces new investments. The plans will focus on increasing market share and sales volume and will involve a multibillion-dollar investment in people, products and innovative technologies in the United States.
Among the planned actions. A. will be produced in Belvidere new midsize pickupwhich will bring about 1,500 UAW-represented employees back to work there. They will have followed plans to build the next generation of Dodge Durango at the Detroit Assembly Complex. An investment will be in Toledo, including additional technologies and product actions for Jeep Wrangler e Jeep Gladiatorand more critical components for the Toledo Machining Plant. Further investments are planned in the Kokomo plants to produce the engine Hurricane 4ensuring that the United States will be the production location for this strategic powertrain.
