realme GT 7 Pro landed in Spain in mid-December, as a high-end device powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which enables artificial intelligence (AI) functions and is backed by a 6,500mAh battery.
Its specifications are intended to offer a device with great performance and autonomy, which does not disappoint on a day-to-day basis, and which at Portaltic we have verified that it keeps pace with ease.
This performance starts with the processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which Qualcomm presented in October last year as “the most powerful and fastest in the world to date”, focused on improving camera capabilities, enabling advanced AI functions and boosting video games.
The large capacity battery (6,500mAh) is noticeable in the design and weight, although nothing that draws much attention compared to other models on the market with a smaller battery (about 5,000mAh, which is usually the norm). It does feel like a robust piece of equipment in the hand.
What is notable is the autonomy it offers, which surpasses the increase in the day with rather normal use, with the typical thing of writing ‘whatsapps’ and emails, taking a photo, lightening a wait with a video game and listening to music on public transport.
The performance of the battery is due, according to the company, to the silicon-carbon anode technology, which increases its resistance to extreme temperatures, reaching 30 degrees below zero. Rounding out the experience is the 120-speed fast charging system – requires an adapter sold separately.
MARTIAN DESIGN
The design of this device has what can be called an all-terrain elegance, with its flat sides and rounded corners and a screen that extends slightly on all four edges.
The model we have had in our hands is called Mars, and it stands out for its orange matte finish casing on which fingerprints are not left and which recreates undulations, as if it were the surface of the red planet. A beauty.
The camera module stands out on the back, large and square in shape, although with rounded corners. It stands out if you look at it from the side, although it does so in a subtle way, on two levels.
It has IP69 certification for water and dust resistance, an outstanding fact, since this ‘smartphone’ is prepared for underwater photography, at least up to two meters deep and for 30 minutes, according to realme data.
The camera also uses artificial intelligence to improve night photos (AI Night Vision) and those that capture moving scenes (AI Snap).
Another notable element is its screen. It has a good size, 6.78 inches, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, and allows you to increase the brightness to be able to see any content outside, without it being darkened by the sun (in fact, they assure that it reaches a maximum brightness of 6,500 nits).
It offers a resolution of 2,780 x 1,264 pixels and although in general it offers a very good image experience, it has a mode in the settings that allows you to highlight the colors so that they are more vivid.
It is, in general terms, a high-end smartphone that delivers what it promises: performance and autonomy, and that offers image quality in any situation, all in a body with a very beautiful design.
