“The 60-day period for the final withdrawal of the Zionist enemy from Lebanese territory has almost ended, as established in the ceasefire agreement,” he recalled in a statement, reported by the Lebanese channel LBCI.

The Shiite militia party has explained that any argument put forward by Israel to continue its presence in the country will represent “a flagrant violation of the agreement and additional damage to Lebanese sovereignty.”

In this sense, he has urged the Lebanese authorities to demand that their partners pressure the Israeli side to abandon “every last centimeter” of Lebanese land in order to make possible the return of families who have been forced to leave. leave their homes on the southern border.

“Any violation of the agreement and commitments, as well as any attempt to evade them under false pretexts, will not be accepted and we ask for a strict commitment that does not accept concessions,” Hezbollah claimed.

The Shiite group’s statement appears after there has been speculation with the possibility that Israel would seek to extend the deadline to continue occupying part of the territories of southern Lebanon, with the pretext of continuing its operations to disarm and dismantle the infrastructure of Hezbollah.

Israeli media have reported that Israel asked the United States, one of the countries mediating the negotiations with Hamas, to grant it an additional 30-day moratorium before leaving southern Lebanon.
