“Ewen” closes schools and stops flights in the United Kingdom

The UK Met Office issued a red warning about the danger to life as a result of a severe storm sweeping Britain, Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland. This came after warnings from meteorologists that Storm “Ewen” may bring winds of up to 100 miles per hour in the areas affected by the weather warning, on Friday, according to the British newspaper “Metro”. A Cabinet Office spokesman said: “Due to the deteriorating weather conditions and the resulting disruption to schools, trains and flights, and in consultation with the Government in Scotland, and in Northern Ireland, the Cabinet Office will issue emergency alerts early this evening to people.
