EU and Jordan signed an agreement on strategic cooperation

The European Union and Jordan signed an agreement on a comprehensive strategic partnership. The ceremony in Brussels was attended by King of Jordan Abdullah the second and the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Lyain.

According to her application, the agreement is pursued by three main goals: strengthening the stability of the kingdom, promoting the monarch put forward by the monarch’s program of economic and administrative modernization and assistance in providing the ability to overcome difficulties. Von der Layen also noted the rendering of refugee assistance.

The agreement provides for the allocation of three billion euros. The amount consists of grants, private and public investments, as well as macroeconomic assistance.
