Hamilton suffers an accident without physical consequences in a private test with Ferrari in Montmeló

The English pilot Lewis Hamilton suffered an accident on Wednesday without any physical consequence during a private test with Ferrari, his new team for this 2025 season of the Formula 1 World Cup, at the Montmeló Circuit (Barcelona).

According to the ‘PA’ news agency, the seven -time world champion left the track in what was his second test for the ‘rampant cavallino’ after his premiere as ‘ferrarista’ on the Ferrari track in Fioran ( Italy) last week.

‘Motorsport.com’ reported that the accident occurred around 11.00 and would have caused a violent impact of English against barriers in the final sector of the Catalan circuit. Ferrari is making the checks to find out the cause of the incident, of which Hamilton is “absolutely well”, according to a source.

Ferrari is in Spain by completing three days of filming with its 2023 car – the latest version that is allowed to be used under the rules of Formula One – before the only official preseason test that will take place in Baréin from 26 to 28 of February, two weeks before the World Cup began in Australia on March 16.
