Airlines in Washington. FBI: There are no signs of a terrorist attack

The FBI rejected the assumptions that the plane crash in Washington occurred due to terrorist actions, NBC News reports.

“There are no signs of crime or terrorism in this plane crash,” the US FBI representative told the channel.

Earlier it was reported that in Washington, a civilian aircraft and a military helicopter collided near Reagan Airport. The plane fell into the river.

The US Federal Civil Aviation Administration (FAA) reported that the passenger aircraft Bombardier CRJ700, which could take up to 70 passengers, and the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter.

Judging by the reports, the plane crashed, following the flight 5342 of the American Airlines, which flew out of the city of Wichito (Kansas).

According to American Airlines, at least 64 people (60 passengers and 4 crew members) were aboard a crashed aircraft.

According to the military, on board the helicopter encountered with the plane, there were three military personnel. Reuters reports that there were no high -ranking representatives of the US Ministry of Defense on board the helicopter. According to sources of CNN television channel in the Pentagon, the helicopter belonged to the US Ground Forces.

The Pentagon’s official statement says that the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter was followed by a Biver, Virginia (about 40 km from Washington).
