Intel announced this chip, which combines GPU with CPU, in May 2022, when he indicated that he would combine XE and X8 nuclei in a single package. This architecture would also have the flexibility of integrating new IP of Intel and customers, manufactured with the IDM 2.0 model.

This processor, designed for high performance computing (HPC) and AI work loads and that was initially going to arrive in 2024, as media such as Tom’s Hardware were then collected, will finally not be launched to the market and will be used as a chip internal test.

“The AI ​​data centers are a very attractive market for us, but we still do not participate in it significantly,” said the directive, which has indicated that, instead of commercially launching it, Falcon Shores will be used to develop the bases of ‘hardware’ and ‘software’ for your successor, Jaguar Shores.
