US Authorities are investigating whether the Chinese artificial intelligence company Deepseek has acquired NVIDIA’s most advanced microchips along the detour, says the economic news agency Bloomberg Based on their anonymous sources. According to Reuters sources, the US Ministry of Commerce is also investigating whether the company has utilized chips that should not be taken to China.

Just a week ago, Deepseek, a Chinese Deepseek, released the Deepseek R1 work intelligence program, which is responsible for Open AI’s chat GPT O1. Deepseek has caused big shocks in its industry because its development process is said to have been much cheaper than its competitors.

The Chinese company also managed to develop its program despite the trade war. The United States has forbidden the exports of the most advanced chips to China. The aim has been to slow down the development of artificial intelligence in China.

Due to export restrictions, NVIDIA has not been able to sell the best artificial intelligence circuits to China, which are hoarded by technology giants. In the past, it has been thought that a large number of NVIDIA circles is a prerequisite for developing a top language model.

Bloomberg According to the White House and the US Federal Police, the FBI authorities are now investigating whether Deepseek has bought Nvidia’s most advanced chips from Singapore.

According to the news agency, the United States set export restrictions in 40 countries in 2023, which believed that it would be taken to China. Singapore is not covered by an export ban, although major chip supplies must be authorized.

About 20 percent of Nvidia’s net sales come from Singapore, says Bloomberg.

“We demand that our partners follow all applicable laws, and if we get the opposite information, we do it accordingly,” the NVIDIA spokesman said in his statement, according to Bloomberg.

Deepseek, FBI and White House did not respond to Bloomberg’s comment request.
