Goya nominated films achieve more than 15.6 million euros at the box office, with ‘La Infiltrada’ as the most watched

The five titles nominated for best film in the 39th edition of the Goya Awards have collected, since the day of their premiere, more than 15.6 million euros and have gathered more than 2.4 million people at the moment, according to the Comscore data from the Ministry of Culture until January 26.

A figure that has expanded significantly with respect to the previous edition, when more than three million euros were raised with ‘know that’, by David Trueb Isabel Coixet, and ‘Close her eyes’, by Víctor Erice.

In the last edition I was also nominated for the best film ‘The Snow Society’, by Ja Bayona, but Netflix did not share the data with Comscore, although according to the ICAA it raised more than 2.8 million euros before the Goya of 2024.

In the current edition, the film that has raised the most at the box office has been ‘La Infiltrada’, by Arantxa Echevarría, which has thirteen nominations for the Goya, and which, since October 11 that was released, has achieved 8,343,825 million of euros in Salas, with the assistance of 1,335,266 people.

The second highest grossing film of those who opt for the best film in Los Goya is ’47’, by Marcel Barrena, which has raised 3,345,668 million euros since September 6 that premiered in cinemas. So far, the tape has achieved 518,127 attendees.

In this case, it is the most nominated film in this edition, with 14 candidates, and closed 2024 as the seventh film more watched throughout the year. In 2025, he has managed to place himself as the sixth most seen.

Another of the great winners of the Goya is ‘Casa en Llamas’, by Dani of the Order, who opts for eight statuettes and has achieved a little more than three million euros at the box office. The film premiered on June 28 and since then 457,373 people have decided to go to the cinema to see it. The film closed the previous year as the eighth most watched film of Spanish cinema and in 2025 it is placed as the 26th.

Behind these three films is ‘La Estrella Azul’, by Javier Macipe, who also opts for eight ‘big heads’. The production was released in February 2024 and closed the year in the 26th position of Spanish cinema. In this case, production has raised 550,930 euros and has made 89,538 people go to the rooms.

Finally, ‘Second Prize’, by Isaki Lacuesta and Pol Rodríguez, is the least collected and less public. The film has achieved 333,770 euros and has been seen by 57,593. The planets project has managed to have eleven nominations and premiered last May. He finished 2024, being the 37th most viewed film in Spanish cinema.

Almodóvar exceeds the 2 million euros barrier

In the case of ‘The next room’, by Pedro Almodóvar, the film is not nominated for best film, but to better address -nine other categories. The production, released on October 18, has managed to raise 2.5 million euros and has been seen by 396,717 people. It premiered on October 18.

Another of the great favorites is ‘the Red Virgin’, by Paula Ortiz, which with nine nominations has achieved 1.3 million euros and an assistance of almost 220,000 people. It premiered on September 27.
