TUI Fly stops with long -distance flights from Brussels

TUI Fly will get the last B787 Dreamliner from the Belgian fleet from the beginning of November and will then focus on short and medium-distance flights from Brussels. That means that there will no longer be flown on Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Cancun (Mexico) and Curaçao.

In a statement, TUI says that the decision was taken “after a careful evaluation of supply and demand on the market on the one hand and internal operational factors on the other”.

The airline wants to concentrate its long -distance flights elsewhere within TUI airline. “We will continue to offer our Belgian customers a series of long-distance destinations through partnerships with other airlines or through nearby airports such as Amsterdam-Schiphol,” it says.

TUI Fly already cut in the long -distance offer from Brussels. Since the summer of 2023, only one long -distance plane had been stationed at Brussels Airport, instead of the earlier two. TUI then referred to the high energy prices, among other things.
