What will change?
Consumers will always have eight daily hollow hours, but they will be moved during the day. “The objective is to adequate these off-peak hours with the challenges of the network and the balance of the offer” explains the CRE.
Thus, in order to best benefit from an inexpensive and abundant energy generated by photovoltaic production, “the placement of off -peak hours can therefore be different in summer (from April 1 to October 31) and in winter (from November 1 to 31 March) ”, continues the authority. “Thus more than half of the households will have differentiated time slots in summer and winter, with for example all their off-peak hours in the heart of the night in winter and divided into two periods, in the afternoon and night, in summer . »»
In addition, consumers will always have five hollow hours overnight, and therefore therefore three hollow hours in the afternoon.
What will be the households concerned?
Among the 14.5 million French households that have opted for the full-hour-hour hour option, “11 million will experience an evolution in the placement of their off-peak hours, at least in summer”, explains the CRE. “For 3.5 million households there will therefore be no change, especially customers with hollow hours from 23 hours to 07 hours (or 1.4 million households). »»
When will these changes be made?
CRE has already launched the implementation of this new project. The new hollow hours beaches will be allocated from next November, until the end of November 2027.
When will households be informed of the change in their off-peak hours?
“Enedis will communicate the new hollow customers’ beaches to their suppliers 6 months before their update, which will allow them to warn their customers at least one month before effective change,” promises the regulatory commission of the ‘Energy.
