The drop in the VAT exemption threshold “suspended” for autoentrepreneurs, the Minister of the Economy announces

Below these amounts, they could establish invoices with 0 %VAT, without reversing anything in the state. In less than a month, these two thresholds had to be unified and dropped to 25,000 euros. Those who will become subject to VAT will have to invoice this tax to their customers, therefore 20 % more expensive, before paying it.

Objective of this reform, supported in particular by the federations of craftsmen: “Reducing the distortions of competition between professionals who exercise in vat franchise and those subject to it for the same service or work,” they explained to Bercy .

But in the meantime, the government has therefore decided to do-at least momentarily-rear machine. And to suspend the measure. “We have heard the requests for autoentrepreneurs,” announced the Minister of Economy and Finance.
