ACV costs more than 20,000 billion for Long Thanh and Tan Son Nhat airports

According to the financial statements in the fourth quarter of 2024, Vietnam Airport Corporation (ACV) recorded more than 20,861 billion VND of unfinished construction costs in projects invested by them for the year 2024. , accounting for the majority of Long Thanh International Airport – phase 1 (Dong Nai) with more than 12,745.7 billion dong. This level increased by nearly 2.4 times compared to 2023.

Long Thanh Airport built on an area of ​​5,000 hectares with a total estimated investment of about VND 336,630 billion. In the first phase, the airport built a takeover, the passenger terminal and auxiliary items with a capacity of 25 million passengers per year. The total investment of this period is about 109,111 billion dong.

In which, the component project invested by ACV has a total of VND 99,019 billion, equivalent to 4.23 billion USD. This enterprise has mobilized enough US $ 4.23 billion to invest, of which capital of about US $ 2.43 billion and borrowed at commercial banks is US $ 1.8 billion.

The financial statements also show that ACV has prepared for businesses to win bids at Long Thanh airport. IC ICTAS Group has received a short -term prepayment of more than 1.561 billion dong, Vinaconex (VCG) receives nearly 94 billion or Hancorp (HAN) nearly 107 billion dong.

The joint venture consists of 10 enterprises, headed by IC ICSAS Group – one of Türkiye’s leading construction contractors. In the meeting at the end of January, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assigned the basic goal of completing Long Thanh airport at the end of 2025. The Prime Minister asked the relevant units to work non -stop, increasing the implementation speed equal to The spirit of “Eating to enlist, sleep urgently, overcome the sun, win the rain, not inferior to the storm”.

Currently, some items in the project are still delayed. In particular, the third component project – includes essential works such as runways, rolling roads, aircraft apron – although reaching 36% of the volume but has not made significant progress. Meanwhile, the package of construction and installation of passenger terminals, is considered the “heart” of the airport, having difficulty because it has to import separate design equipment from abroad.

In addition to Long Thanh airport, ACV also put resources for the construction of T3 passenger terminal of Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City). They cost more than 5,830 billion dong of unfinished basic construction costs, up nearly 4 times in the same period.

ACV also spent a total of about VND 1.054 billion for the expansion of aircraft apron, fuel reception system and expanding T2 passenger terminal T2 Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi). In addition, they also spend hundreds of billions of dong for Doppler technology radar systems at Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai and Da Nang airport.

Regarding business results, ACV recorded nearly 22,555 billion dong of revenue, an increase of nearly 13% compared to 2023 thanks to the international aviation market. In addition to the refund of the provision for bad debts, the company has more than 11,577 billion dong. This level increased by nearly 37% and was a record level since the information publication. The “giant” of the airport exceeded 11% of the revenue target and exceeded 53% of the profit plan.
