Israeli CSB published changes in the consumer price index

In the new consumer basket, the proportion of housing costs increased from 26% to 26.7%, and the share of transportation and communication costs from 17.5% to 18.6%. The share of health costs increased from 6% to 6.3%.

At the same time, the share of expenses for education, culture and entertainment decreased from 10.1% to 9.3%, and the share of clothing and shoes – from 3% to 2.7%.

The share of food, in addition to vegetables and fruits, remained unchanged – 14.9%, while the share of vegetables and fruits decreased from 3.3%to 3%.

Among the subsections, it is worth noting an increase in the share of expenses for tobacco products in the middle consumer basket from 2.5% to 2.7%, and the share of vacation costs abroad – from 3.5% to 4.5%.
