Regional traffic: Restrictions on rail traffic – reason is fire service

Due to a fire service on a burning cable shaft in Wuhlheide, there are currently restrictions in Berlin regional traffic. The regional railway lines RE2, RE7, RB21 and RB23, as the Berlin transport information center (VIZ) announced, are affected.

The RE2 is currently being diverted via Berlin Jungfernheide, Berlin Gesundbrunnen and Berlin-Lichtenberg, said Deutsche Bahn on X. All other light rail stops are eliminated. Trains of the RB21 are redirected via Berlin-Charlottenburg. They start and end at the zoological garden, it said. Trains of the RB23 would start and end at the Berlin Ostbahnhof until further notice.

According to information from the federal police, the fire brigade operation has now ended.

There are also delays and failures on the ring railway line S42 as well as on lines S8 and S85, as the viz continued. The reason for this is the repair at a signal in health fountain.
