After a conversation with Putin, Trump announced the start of negotiations to stop the war in Ukraine

According to the Kremlin press service, the presidential telephone conversation lasted almost 90 minutes. Commenting on the results of this conversation, Donald Trump wrote: “We agreed to work together very closely, including mutual visits. We also agreed that our teams will immediately start negotiations, and we will start by calling the President Zelensky and inform him about this conversation I will do it right now. ”

It should be noted that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky previously stated that it would be ready to exchange part of the Kursk region controlled by the APU for some Ukrainian lands held by Russia.

The politician emphasized: all Ukrainian territories are important to him, and he does not know which of them he will ask for in return. He also expressed his readiness to satisfy the demand of US President Donald Trump to provide the United States access to rare earth deposits in exchange for military assistance.

Zelensky said that Ukraine also requires security guarantees by the United States, European guarantees are not enough. He stated that he was ready to negotiate, but wants to approach them from the standpoint of strength. Having supported the proposal to send European peacekeepers to Ukraine, he once again emphasized: without the United States, these efforts will not be enough.
