The new authorities of Syria announced the arrest of three former secret military police officers of the regime of Bashar al-Assad involved in mass killings in the AT-Tadamon area in Damascus.
Judging by the SANA State Agency, the arrests were carried out by Damascus Security Office.
The names of the arrested are named: Munzir al-Jazairi, Imad Muhammad al-Mammud, Sumir Muhammad al-Mammud (the last two, apparently, brothers). Al-Jazairi did not just give a confession, he was forced to tell on the camera of the Associated Press correspondent about how he and his assistants killed people.
Mass murders in the AT-Tadamon area, not far from the Palestinian refugees camp, were committed by special services and military regime on April 16, 2013. The victims were sealed with tape their eyes, their hands were tied behind their backs with plastic ties, beaten, and then shot. Others were killed, simply undermining the buildings in which they started. After the mass murder, some bodies were burned along with car tires, other bodies were taken outside Damascus. The executioners shot what was happening. Many videos have been preserved.
The murder of 41 people was officially confirmed. Human rights organizations found that at least 230 people were killed. Al-Jazairi said that he and his assistants killed about 500 people. The head of the current security service of Damascus, Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Rahman al-Dabbag confirmed the data on 500 killed.
