We left for a new round of bodysuit in glitter. This Friday, February 14, during the second evening of this season 14 of “Dance with the stars”, six new personalities appear on the parquet floor of the TF1 fair dance competition but no one will be eliminated for the moment. After Adil Rami, Lénie or even Florent Manaudou the previous week, six new candidates are launching, motivated by a Camille Combal, oversized black suit on a white t-shirt.
“Welcome to everyone including those who think that the Fox-Trot is a breed of dog,” he says in the preamble before planting the decor. This year is “one of the most endearing promotions that we have ever had in Dance with the stars ”, He said before ensuring that during the inaugural evening the first part of the promotion put “pressure on the new couples who will dance this evening”, as the level is high.
A “very good start” for the adventurer
First couple to embark on the show, Claude Dartois, quadruple finalist of “Koh-Lanta” and her dance partner, Katrina Patchett. To present them, a report in the preamble tells of their 14 -year friendship. The two embark on a tango on “being up to the task” of Emmanuel Moire. And against all expectations, the adventurer is doing rather very well.
“It’s a very good start,” sums up the Fauve Hautot judge, who offers them a note of 8 out of 10, just like Mel Charlot. Even Chris Marques, renowned for his severity, rents their passage. “But what departure, you learned a framework, it’s great,” said the judge, who even gives him a 7 out of 10.
The second duo to get started is one of those that we expect the most. Mayane, the young actress aged 20, known for her participation in “A little extra thing”, is one of the events of this new season. Accompanied by Christophe Licata, she embarks on this new adventure, which sounds like a challenge for the young woman carrying Down’s syndrome. For the occasion, Artus, who offered her her role in the film with 11 million admissions, came to support her. He who participated in season 7 in 2017.
The surprise of the casting of the film
“It is not because we are Down’s syndrome that nothing can be done,” she says eloquence. “I want to show that with the difference we can get there and I want to have a crazy course”, lets go that which already shares her dances a lot on small viral videos on Tiktok. Here she is during her first dance in a waltz, all of white dressed in “with lost body” by Grégory Lemarchal. This first passage is amazing.
The actress amazed by her technique but also her grace in her princess outfit. While the four judges all stand up to applaud the performance, the friends of Mayane, the actors of “a little extra thing” surprise him to come and congratulate her. Mayane radiates, everyone kisses, tears flow everywhere in the public as with judges. Impossible not to be moved before this shoot of good humor, natural and humanity.
Jean-Marc Généreux takes the opportunity to talk about Francesca, his disabled daughter, damage to Rett syndrome, a rare genetic disease and praises the strength of difference. Chris Marques raises him to embrace the cast of “his favorite film” and promises Mayane a long journey in this new season. And we too believe it.
« Aallez Fraaaanck »
Frank Lebœuf and Candice Pascal are trying to make a good impression on the exercise of contemporary waltz, understand less coded. The 1998 world champion sexy cheek, open shirt, wide open to her chest and bare feet. Behind them, images of the 1998 World Cup final parade, while Lénie screams “Come on Fraaaanck” on the candidates’ bench.
The level is good too, despite some stiffness but the footballer’s involvement is touching. The margin of progression in the following weeks is all the greater. Chris Marques rents “his commitment and his excellent potential”, Fauve notes “his excellence and his charm” and advises him to work on his arms, too far back.
Eve Gilles, Miss France 2024, launches with a new Nino Mosa dancer, the new new one in this season and fifteenth in classical dance. The young woman, who has already had a sprain during rehearsals, wants to break “the curse of the miss” because no beauty queen won the trophy. The Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais returns to the wave of cyber harassment and death threats suffered after its election. “I said to myself, it may be the beautiful and the most horrible year of my life,” she said, in tears.
But the performance disappoints despite good will. Very little dance step in the choreography but a painting that looks more like a fashion show. Jean-Marc Généreux ignites, in an incomprehensible way and gives a note of 9 out of ten, which causes disbelief in particular on social networks where we comment on the evening. The other judges, very generous, also place her very well, by granting him in all 32 points.
“And yes, there are pubs on TF1”
Next comes one of the stars of the season, Sophie Davant, “the one who changed creamers” as has fun presenting her Camille Combal in the blink of an eye to her career on France Télévisions that she has just left. “I have two lands unknown this evening, as my colleague Frédéric Lopez, dance and TF1 would say,” she said, in an outfit in golden lamé. Father Fouras’ voice (yes) of Fort Boyard in voiceover, tells his journey. On “Mama Mia” by Abba, the host leaves in Cha Cha Cha and Galère despite her big smiles. But it will be necessary to wait a bit before you have the advice of the jury. “And yes, there are pubs on TF1,” said Camille Combal, still as funny between improvisation and an accomplice joke with candidates and judges. Noted last, it lets go, all in second degree, disappointed and upset: “Well, well it’s a triumph”.
Finally, it is a little more than 11 pm, when the young Jungeli, barely 16 years old, shows what he can do on an “American Smooth”, with Inès Vandamme on “every second” of Pierre Garnier. The high school student who assured having an execrable level, melts in tears after a very nice performance with his partner. All the candidates leave their bench to kiss him. Mel Charlot, too, in tears, even gives him a 9 out of 10, like Fauve Hautot. Even Chris Marques puts him on a 7 out of 10. The singer, from Sevran (Seine-Saint-Denis), is the big surprise of this program. We will really have to count on him.
Finally, a choreography imposed by Jean-Marc Généreux for the whole group except Sophie Davant (she does not participate in this event because she is last), at the end of the program, confirms Jungeli as one of the most promising candidacies of this cuvée.
