Zelensky reiterates to Macron that Ukraine needs “solid” security guarantees

The president of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, has warned of the “possibility” of an occupation of other European territories by Moscow, ensuring that his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, “will declare war on NATO.”

Zelenski has suggested during an interview granted to the US NBC News chain that his Russian couple would be waiting for “a weakening” of the Atlantic Alliance, which could occur if “the United States thinks of removing its army from Europe”, to start occupying parts of the continent.

“I don’t know if they (the Russians) will want 30 percent of Europe, 50 percent, I don’t know. Nobody knows it. But they will have that possibility (…) knowing that he failed to take care, we don’t know where he will go .
