Ski World Cup: After a training session: Skir racing driver Alphand in the hospital

The French ski racing driver Nils Alphand was taken to the hospital after a fall in the departure training of Crans-Montana. The 28-year-old had briefly lost consciousness after his accident, reported several media, citing the French association. Further studies in the hospital have created normal results. Alphand, who had been recovered by helicopter after his training session, will be under observation for the time being.

Alphand is the son of the former French ski star and former overall World Cup winner Luc Alphand. In the Swiss Crans-Montana, where the Alpine Ski World Cup takes place in 2027, a downhill departure of the men is scheduled for Saturday. A Super-G will follow on Sunday.
