The Market Court would only be a fraction of the compensation for the Finnish company in the dispute of bubble water companies

The method of marking carbon dioxide bottles has been twisted in court since 2017.

Market law made a decision on Wednesday last week in a lengthy legal dispute where there was a carbonated giant, a multinational Sodastream International and its small Finnish competitor Mydoda.

Both companies sell carbon acidic equipment, as well as the necessary carbon dioxide bottles and flavors.

At the heart of the legal process was aluminum, re -filled carbon dioxide bottles. The method of marking the bottles has been twisted in court since 2017.

According to Sodastream International, MySoda has caused financial damage to it and has hampered the company’s reputation. According to Sodastream, damage has also been the cost of checking the bottles and reusing.

Sodasream International demanded that also a reasonable compensation for unauthorized use of trademark rights with interest rates, including interest rates, and for any other damage of over EUR 251,100 with interest rates. Sodasteam International also insisted on paying legal costs for around € 188,200.

Market law It obliges Mysoda to pay Sodastream International as a compensation for a total of EUR 8,000, including interest on default.

The Market Court decided to dismiss the action on the costs of the legal costs. It ordered Sodastream to pay Mysoda’s legal costs of EUR 75,000.
