Modulight’s losses shrunk, turnover increased

Health technology company Modulight released its fourth quarter of 2024 on Friday.

In October-December, the company raised EUR 1.4 million, compared with EUR 1.0 million during last year’s comparison.

At the same time, the company’s operating profit was EUR -2.2 million, and during the comparison period the corresponding figure was EUR -5.1 million.

The three analyst consensus forecast compiled by Factset expected an operating profit of EUR -2.0 million per quarter and a turnover of EUR 1.5 million.

The company’s order portfolio increased to EUR 3.0 million and EBITDA in a quarter was EUR 1 million. During the comparison period, EBITDA was EUR 3.0 million at a loss.

The earnings per quarter of the share settled to EUR -0.02, compared to EUR -0.12 during the comparison period.

The Board of Directors of the Company proposes that there is no dividend for the financial year 2024, as was not distributed for the previous year.

The company did not provide guidance on turnover or profitability for 2025. It shows that the progress of individual projects is difficult to predict and macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainty continue to affect market development.

Most of Modulight’s client projects are different types of early development projects. The projects sell Modulight’s own products. In accordance with its strategy, Moduulight is also moving from payment based on equipment delivery to a new payment model (PPT business model).

Modulight says its PPT business developed, especially in the last quarter of the year, and the number of hospitals using the company’s product increased to the 47 at the end of the year.

“Our profitability continued to improve despite the increase in product development investments. Projects for certain clients progressed and we received larger pre -production orders. Some customer relationships also progressed faster than expected. Business cash flow improved, although we increased product development and investments in sales and marketing, ”says CEO Seppo Orsila in the profit file.
