The Israeli army said on Monday evening in a press release that it had struck a site for launching roquettes in the Gaza Strip, after a projectile drawn from Palestinian territory fell inside.
“Earlier in the day, a projectile launched (from the Gaza Strip) and fell inside (…) was identified. Not long ago, the Israeli army struck the launch site from which the projectile had been drawn, as well as another launch site in the region, “said the army.

This strike comes in a context of renewed tensions in the region and a fear of a resumption of fighting in the Palestinian enclave. Hamas accused Israel on Sunday of jeopardizing the truce in Gaza, the first phase of which expires in a few days, blocking the releases of Palestinian prisoners as long as “humiliating ceremonies” continue around hostage releases.
TSAHAL goes up its “operational alert level”
Sunday evening, the Israeli army announced Sunday evening that it was its “operational alert level” around the Gaza Strip, after the Prime Minister’s statements, Benyamin Netanyahu, indicating that the country was ready to take the fighting “At any time”.
The decision announced by Israel not to release more than 600 detainees on Saturday in exchange for six Israeli hostages makes even more uncertain the rest of the ceasefire, the first phase of which ends on March 1 without the terms of the second stage were negotiated.
At the same time, Israel has announced that it has emptied their 40,000 residents of three refugees in the north of the occupied West Bank, where the army has been carrying out a large operation for a month, with the order not to allow their return. The army also announced the deployment of a tan unit in Jenine and affirmed that it would further extend its operations in the north of the territory.
