Belgian chemical group Syensqo wants American stock exchange listing

Syensqo originated in December 2023 from the split of the Solvay chemical company. For example, the company makes polymers and composites for a host of industries and also develops materials for battery cells for, among other things, electric cars. With a double stock exchange listing, Syensqo wants to increase its “visibility” and “expand accessibility for North American investors,” it says.

“America is our largest region, good for more than 40 percent of our turnover and our staff, and the home base of more than half of our industrial footprint,” says CEO Ilham Kadri. “Since we expect that a large part of our future growth and investments in that strategically important region will happen, it makes sense that we are investigating an American listing.”

According to his website, Syensqo has 13,200 employees in thirty countries. It has 62 industrial sites and twelve large research centers.
