League of Legends, Riot Games announces the collectible card game

According to Dave Guskin’s statements, Riot Games Game Director, the selection of UVS Games as a partner is based on the sharing of a common vision for the development of the game, as well as on the experience in the sector and on the knowledge of the global communities of collectible card games. Zoe McNamara, VP Product & Creative of UVS Games, expressed the honor of collaborating with Riot Games to bring the League of Legends universe into the board game format, underlining the combination of strategic depth, emotion and design of the cards that characterizes Project K.

The initial launch of Project K, known in China as Rune Battlegrounds, is scheduled for the beginning of 2025 in collaboration with Shining Soul. Subsequently, Riot Games and UVS Games plan the publication of the game in the United States during the same year, with further regional distributions scheduled for 2026. The details relating to the definitive name of the game, the design of the cards, the game mechanics and the launch window are currently being developed.
