PSG-Liverpool: Luis Enrique can count on its entire workforce

After a day of rest granted in the wake of the big success acquired on Saturday against LOSC (4-1), PSG players resumed training on Monday morning in Poissy. This session made it possible to definitively launch the preparation of the 8th round of the Champions League against Liverpool, this Wednesday evening at the Parc des Princes (9 p.m.).

Under the sun and in good humor, the Parisians presented themselves to the full on the lawn of the PSG campus. The Parisian infirmary is completely empty before the great European meeting and Luis Enrique will therefore have the luxury of choosing, as he sees fit, the men he intends to align in his starting eleven for this shock against the Reds.

Gifted rather than Kvaratskhelia?

The Spanish technician should normally opt for continuity and keep the framework of his “typical team” or at least, the one that is used to starting major meetings. The composition of the defensive base should not evolve with Donnarumma in the goal and the Hakimi quartet, Marquinhos, Pacho, Nuno Mendes.

In the midfielder, Warren Zaïre-Emery, returned to competition last Wednesday in the French Cup against Saint-Brieuc, should again take place on the replacement bench. Already aligned against Manchester City, the trio made up of João Neves, Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz is therefore likely to be renewed.

The main questioning of this team composition concerns the identity of the man who will evolve alongside Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembélé, expected holders. It could be desired Doué, author of very solid services with PSG for several weeks and which could be preferred to KHVICHA KVAratskhelia in order to occupy the right wing of the attack. Luis Enrique has a last session this Tuesday morning (11 am) to see his group at work. This training will be followed by a press conference (1 p.m.) in the presence of the Spanish coach and a player.

The likely composition of PSG: Donnarumma – Hakimi, Marquinhos (chap.), Pacho, Nuno Mendes – João Neves, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz – Doué, Dembélé, Boat.
