Syrian displaced people begin to arrive after the outbreak of violence on the Mediterranean coast

In the last hours, Syrian families have begun to arrive in Libanese territory, the majority of Alauís, fleeing the burst of violence between the security forces of the new Syrian authorities and armed groups considered related to the regime of former president Bashar al Assad on the Mediterranean coast the west of the country.

Hundreds of families have arrived in Lebanon since Friday night through the northern border of the country, specifically through the Akkar plain carrying basic goods.
