With a hammer and a terrorist: This is how the Russian espionage network designed to murder

Britain is still shocked by the espionage network for Russia unveiled in the kingdom. Over the weekend, three members of the network, Bulgarian citizens who lived in London, were convicted of a case described as “one of the major spying operations” in the UK. The same network also planned to murder people.

Christo Grozav, a Bulgarian journalist who worked on a British investigative site, was one of the people on the intention of the spies. In an interview with the BBC network, he told how the spies planned to murder him. For things, the spies thought to hit him with a hammer and maybe even send a suicide bomber to hurt him. “The programs of these spies are beyond imagination,” he said.

Grozav has previously published several investigations on Russia with his colleague Roman Dubocotov. Among other things, they revealed the Russian involvement in Sergey Skripal in Solsbury in 2018 and the poisoning of opposition leader in Russia Alexei Noxie in the Russian prison in 2020.

 

The Bulgarian journalist said there were some incidents in which he and his colleague were under tracking throughout Europe. The spies were also followed by planes and hotels. He noted that it was “unprofessional” spies, but added that it didn’t make them at least dangerous.

“The assassination methods they planned, it’s like a movie,” Grozba said. Among other things, the spies weighed to hire the services of a suicide bomber from ISIS. According to him, according to the plan, “the terrorist was supposed to explode on the street.”

Another program of spies was to kidnap Grozav and send it to a torture camp in Syria. At the same time, they planned that his multiplier would fly to Russia and “stop in front of cameras” so they could deny his kidnapping.

During the trial, it became clear that spies broke into Green’s apartment in Vienna in 2022. “My son played on the computer in his room,” the journalist said. “I don’t want to think what would have happened if my son would decide to get out of his room while they were at home.”

The court also exposed correspondence between the spies on the network. Jan Marclelek, who ran the network for Russian intelligence services, wrote in December 2020 that Schurzb was “the chief researcher in a villain portfolio.” In another post that sent Urulin was sitting – who ran the network that operated in the UK – Marclelek wrote: “Personally, I find that Grozba is not a very valuable destination, but apparently Putin really hates him.”
