CDC warns: Measles spread in the US

A large and exceptional eruption of measles virus, which began in the state of Texas in the US, is in the way of expansion: From the end of January 2025 and so far in Texas, 198 verified patients were reported – most of them children and teens. 23 of them were admitted to hospitals due to the complications of the disease, and one child who was not vaccinated to the virus died of the disease. This is the first death of the US disease since 2015.Also in New Mexico, in the nearby district of Texas eruption, 30 cases reported – including an adult, uncomplicated, who passed away from quarry. New Mexico authorities suspect that the morbidity is related to the outbreak of nearby Texas.

 

Most patients in both countries were not vaccinated. In Texas, 80 of all patients were not vaccinated at all, 113 unknown immune condition, and only five (2.5%) of patients were eliminated in at least one dish. In New Mexico, 26 of patients were not vaccinated and four are defined as unknown immune condition. There are no vaccines among the patients. It is important to note that the focus of the Texas eruption is in the district where low vaccination rates.

Health warning of theCDC

In view of the spread, on Saturday)CDC Published a health warning about measles eruption, which is for medical staff and passenger public. The warning emphasizes the importance of detecting and careful treatment of measles, monitoring and preventing the transfer of the disease – especially in light of the spread of the disease in certain areas of the United States and because of the chance of spreading further with the rise in the approaching travel season.

 

The organization also calls on the public to all the destinations abroad or passengers to the US eruption areas, make sure they are vaccinated as required for the disease, and be alert to marking and measles (like rash and heat) for three weeks after returning.

The Ministry of Health’s Health Intelligence System, where the details of the message were published, emphasized that the most effective and safe way to avoid quarrying and reducing the chance of its significant complications is through a disadvantage. The efficiency of immune to measles prevention is very high – about 97% after receiving two dishes.
