The PP wants the presidency of honor of the kings in the acts for the 125th anniversary of Buñuel’s birth

The Popular Parliamentary Group has registered in the Congress of Deputies a non -proposition of the law to support the commemorative acts of the 125th anniversary of the birth of the great film director Luis Buñuel, for his debate in the Culture Commission.

The initiative, collected by Europa Press, urges the Government to develop the necessary actions to request the presidency of honor of this ephemeris from King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia.

It also claims the Executive who considers the ephemeris cultural event declared of exceptional public interest (AEIP) for the purposes of the application of tax benefits.

The popular ones also want an inter -administrative commission to be approved to coordinate commemorative acts and that the government promotes, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, actions that allow to internationally disseminate the commemorative acts of the birth of Luis Buñuel.

The initiative also urges the Executive to promote, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, through others, of the Spanish Filmoteca, and the Student Residence Foundation, actions that allow the documentary complex belonging to Luis Buñuel to be disseminated at the national level.

Finally, he wants the Government to elaborate, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Professional Training and Sports, the Autonomous Communities, and the Buñuel de Calanda Center, didactic units to incorporate educational content related to the aforementioned event.
