Kauppalehti’s information: These countries “deceive” Ukraine – a gigantic weapon package will not proceed

The high representative of the EU’s external relationships Kaja Kallas told Wednesdaythat he is going to leave an initiative that will so far leave the willing EU countries committed to supporting Ukraine with a $ 20-40 billion in a weapon this year.

According to Kallas, the initiative has not received sufficient support from, for example, the southern Member States of the Union and therefore still requires negotiations.

According to Kauppalehti, the Kallas weaponry package was most strictly opposed to the big EU countries that are important to the progress of the package. France was also reserved for the initiative.

Kauppalehti reported already on Mondaythat the Ukrainian weaponry declaration has aroused opposition in these countries.

Kallas does not give up

The preliminary draft conclusion states that EU leaders “resemble” Kallas’ initiative to provide military support to Ukraine.
