Customs duties: the EU postponed its measures aimed at American products in mid-April

A stay in the trade war between the European Union (EU) in the United States. The EU announces this Thursday postponing its measures on customs duties aimed at American products on Thursday, said a spokesperson.

The European Commission had announced more than a week ago the implementation of imported American products, as of April 1, in response to customs duties set by Donald Trump on steel and aluminum.

“The EU countermeasures announced on March 12 will have all effect in mid-April,” said European executive spokesperson Olof Gill, explaining that this would give “more time” for negotiations with the American administration.
