In the United Arab Emirates, three citizens of Uzbekistan were sentenced to the highest degree of punishment, found guilty of the murder in November 2024 of the Habad Messenger in the UAE Rabbi Zvi Kogan.
Kogan, who had both Moldavian and Israeli citizenship, lived in the Emirates for several years. He repeatedly said that he feels in this country in complete security.
Presumably, the abductors tried to take him from the UAE to Oman, but something went wrong, and he was killed. The criminals left the country, but were detained in Turkey and extradited to the United Arab Emirates.
