French President Emmanuel Macron held a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the evening of March 30. The main subject of the conversation was the situation in the Gaza sector.
“The return of all the hostages and the safety of Israel are a priority for France. I called on the Prime Minister of Israel to stop the blows of gas and return to the ceasefire that must observe and Hamas. I emphasized the need for immediate resumption of supplies to the sector,” Macron wrote on the social network X.
The French leader expressed commitment to the Arab plan for the reconstruction of the sector, facing against violent resettlement and annexation.
He also called on Israel to comply with the conditions of the ceasefire in Lebanon and the complete withdrawal of troops from the Lebanese territory, and also stated that the Lebanese army should become the only armed force in the country.
