Table tennis: disappointment for Félix Lebrun eliminated in the first round of the WTT of Incheon

Big fight this Tuesday for Félix Lebrun. The new French table tennis champion faced the 45th Lee Sang-Su at his home in South Korea. At the end of a very hung match, he ended up bowing in five rounds after a big air hole in the second and third sets (5-11, 11-8, 11-6, 10-12, 11-9).

It all started well for this entry into the Champions WTT of Incheon – the equivalent of a master 1000 in table tennis. Lebrun won the first round with ease thanks to an illegible service and then suddenly, the dynamics were reversed. Lee Sang-Su was able to chain the winning points and surf its disconcerting success in front of a conquered audience.

Félix Lebrun did not miss its part in large widths. He simply came across the stronger and knew how to return to the game before losing a little in the last round.

It is necessarily a poor performance ten days after his first coronation of champion of France in Levallois, with a victory in the final against his brother Alexis.

No second title in WTT

This tournament was an opportunity for Félix to confirm its rise in power in the world gratin. In the absence of the best Chinese players since the world number 1 Lin Shidong, number 2 Wang Chuqin and number 4 Liang Jingkun have given up, there was room to get on the podium. Even to win and at the end of October in Montpellier.

For appeal, his brother Alexis was absent in South Korea, victim of a finger of a finger for typing the rage table after his defeat at the French championships.
