American reality television star Kim Kardashian said he doubted the veracity of the mission of the NASA to the Moon in 1969, which led the head of the space agency to confirm the historic expedition, the subject of conspiracy theories.
“Yes, we have already been to the Moon… six times!” Sean Duffy, acting administrator of NASA, wrote on X on Thursday.
In the latest episode of her series “The Kardashians,” Kim Kardashian expressed her skepticism about the 1969 Apollo 11 mission, during which American astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong took the first steps on the lunar surface.
“I’m sending you a million articles with Buzz Aldrin and the other guy,” Kim Kardashian tells her co-star, Sarah Paulson, on the show. He then reads a quote he attributes to Aldrin, responding to a question about the most terrifying moment of the expedition.
“There wasn’t a scary moment because it didn’t happen. It could have been scary, but it wasn’t because it didn’t happen,” she says.
It is not clear which article he is referring to, or whether the comments are actually from Buzz Aldrin.
Kardashian again stated shortly after that the space mission is “fake” since there are “some videos of Buzz Aldrin talking about it not happening.”
According to her, “he says it all the time now in interviews.”
The NASA official tagged Kardashian in his post and highlighted the Artemis mission, the agency’s current lunar exploration program.
“We won the last space race and we will win this one too,” said Duffy, who invited Kardashian to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida for the launch of the mission, which does not yet have a scheduled date.
