Society told on Friday, that the chairman of the board Ami Rubinstein resigns from his position. According to the release, the reason for the decision is “personal life changes and future plans”.
Kiekko-Espoo’s board elected its new chairman Arto Linnervuon.
Rubinstein worked in his position since 2017, i.e. from the founding of Kiekko-Espoo Oy. The club’s men’s representative team won straight medals in Mestis in the 2021–24 seasons and moved up to the SM league for the 2024–25 season.
Kiekko-Espoo’s women’s representative team, on the other hand, has dominated the Aurora League. It has won the SM gold three times in 2021, 2022 and 2025.
Currently Jyrki Ahon the group he leads is fourth in the SM league. It faces the second comet of the season, Jukurit, at home on Friday.
In the Aurora League, Kiekko-Espoo is at the top of the league, and has not lost a single match.
