NEO, the domestic robot that is almost a human and you can now part with 20 thousand dollars

Robotics is a reality, it is the present, and the day when we have a humanoid robot at home. This is the case of NEO, considered an almost human robot due to its abilities.

This robot developed by the 1X company can fold clothes, organize spaces and do various household activities. But the best of all is that it has already been launched on the market.

As detailed by the same company on its website, it is the first domestic humanoid robot available for purchase in the United States, with an Early Access cost of $20,000, which includes priority shipping in 2026. There is also a subscription for $499 per month.

As far as is known, the Norwegian-American company will ship the first robots from 2026, and they are available in beige, gray and dark brown.

This robot only weighs 30 kilograms, it can lift just over twice its weight and carry loads of up to 25 kilograms. His height is 1.67m and he moves independently.

The interesting thing is that its operation is based on the use of artificial intelligence, with an integrated broad language model (LLM), allowing users to assign, schedule and monitor household tasks using voice commands or an application.

That is, according to the firm, NEO represents a generational leap in humanoid hardware with the incorporation of Human Level Dexterity (22 Degrees of Freedom Hands) and a head-to-toe soft body made of custom 3D cross-linked polymer structures.

In addition, among NEO’s program tasks are tidying rooms, folding clothes and cleaning, it can also open doors, bring objects and turn off lights autonomously.
