Madrid. The French police arrested four other people yesterday for the robbery at the Louvre Museum on October 19, including the one who is considered the fourth and last member of the commando who in just seven minutes managed to take nine pieces of the French crown jewels, valued at 88 million euros.

The special anti-gang squad of the Paris police captured who is presumed to be the last member of the group that stole the jewels, an old acquaintance of the authorities, as well as three other people, who, although they did not participate in the assault on the museum, are part of the circle of the four arrested.

The alleged fourth member of the group has been accused of “organized robbery (and) conspiracy to commit a crime,” according to the Paris prosecutor, Laure Beccuau, in a statement reported by the newspaper. The Parisian.

The four arrested for participating in the “robbery of the century” by the French press are originally from the Parisian municipality of Aubervilliers. However, yesterday’s arrests were made in the department of Mayenne, in western France.

On October 19, security cameras showed how a group of four men carried out the daring robbery using a lifting platform mounted on a truck through which they accessed the Apolo gallery, where they broke into two display cases containing these jewels.
