Alibaba has launched his first series of glasses powered by artificial intelligence (AI) Quark AI in China composed of the models S1 y G1, that integrate a design of interchangeable batteries to ensure continuous use for a day, as well as capabilities to interact with the AI and the environment in real time.
These new glasses are powered by the technology company’s Qwen models, so they offer deep reasoning abilities to carry out tasks on a daily basis, in addition to integrating your Alibaba Quark AI application.
Specifically, the glasses model Quark AI S1 is the flagship version of the series, equipped with transparent micro-OLED displays which display information superimposed on the lenses. For its part, the version Quark AI G1 is more focused on adapting to the lifestyle of users in a personalized way, since it has various color designs and formats, but it does not have screens.
However, both models of the smart glasses series have bone conduction microphonesas well as integrated cameras and are completed with a system of double interchangeable batterywhich offers up to 24 hours of autonomy of use, as the company has detailed in a statement through Alizila.
Regarding their operation, the glasses can be controlled by voice commands like ‘Hello Qwen’, as well as through touch controls on temples. In this way, users will be able to interact with the AI and the environment in real time, with capabilities to respond to requests, real-time translation, navigation and even teleprompter.
The glasses will also allow you to carry out tasks of contextual assistancesuch as searching for specific nearby places or managing schedules. Likewise, the company has detailed that they will be Integrated with the entire Alibaba ecosystemsuch as the Alipay payment method and shopping, music and productivity applications.
The glasses Quark AI S1 have been launched in China for 3,799 yuan (around 463.53 euros at the exchange rate), while the model Quark AI G1 has been made available to users by 1,899 yuan (around 231.70 euros at the exchange rate).
Likewise, as Bloomberg has learned, Alibaba plans to extend the launch of its new smart glasses to international level during the next yearalthough it is unknown to which territories.
